Course Description
Learning shamanism is not just a matter of acquiring methods, but also of increasing spiritual power and knowing how to use it. From the shamanic point of view, people who are not spiritually “power-filled” are prone to illness, accidents, and misfortune. Anyone who has had a traumatic experience may lose a portion of their soul, of their spiritual essence. There are also other reasons this may occur.
In this workshop, participants will learn about soul loss and soul retrieval from a shamanic perspective. There will be a particular emphasis on the importance of shamanic power to do successful soul retrieval. Participants will also learn how to re-empower a client’s soul after it has been returned so that the client is once again spiritually power-filled, leading to greater health and well-being.
This soul retrieval training is based on worldwide core principles and methods. It does not require Western psychological perspectives and practices.
FSS Prerequisites for Power (Core) Soul Retrieval Training™
Because effective soul retrieval practice is based in shamanic power, which comes from strong connections with helping spirits and advanced practice in shamanism, participation in this program requires these prerequisites:
1. The Way of the Shaman (the Basic workshop)
AND 2. These two advanced weekend workshops:
Shamanic Extraction Healing
and Shamanism, Dying, and Beyond
OR 3. Completion of the Two Week Shamanic Healing Intensive.
All of the Foundation’s programs are based on Michael Harner’s pioneering work in core shamanism – more than 50 years of research, experimentation, development, and teaching. The resulting workshops and training programs embody the authentic, ethical, and effective practice of shamanism and shamanic healing and are widely considered as unparalleled in the world.
Seattle
Seattle is a major port city for trans-Pacific and European trade. Seattle has the cosmopolitan outlook of a port city and a strong civic, cultural and nature orientation. It boasts a large population of artists, supported in part by an innovative public arts funding program. Seattle is known for its art galleries, museums, theater, and famous waterfronts. Registration
$265 per person for early registration – up to one month prior to start of workshop. Sign-ups after 30 days before event will be $275. Payments may be made by Check, Money Order, or online with PayPal using either Visa or MasterCard. Paypal payments may only be made for the full amount. If you choose to use PayPal, be sure to also print, fill out, and mail the below Registration Form and Liability Waiver via USPS to Beth.

Tuition Deposit
A $175 Deposit is required in order to register for this workshop and will be applied toward your tuition balance.
If you choose the option of a check deposit to register for this workshop, please note that your balance is due one month before the workshop begins. You are responsible for sending your balance due in a timely manner. If it is not received on time, please note that you will be charged a $30 late fee, and you will no longer be eligible for the early registration tuition price. This means that you will have to include an extra $20 fee in your late check. Your extra fees will come to an additional $50 total. Thank you!

We recommend the deposit be paid early as enrollments are limited.
Balance Due
Balance is due 30 days before event date. All tuition matters must be complete before arriving at the workshop.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds minus a $75.00 processing fee will be given until 29 days prior to workshop date. Refunds will not be given after that date. Exceptions are not made to this policy. If you cancel 30 days or more before the workshop, you may apply the amount paid to another of my FSS workshops with no penalty except for any Pay Pal fees.
The Foundation for Shamanic Studies retains the right to cancel any workshop at any time for any reason. In this case all tuition fees will be refunded in full or may be applied to a future FSS workshop of mine.
Lodging in Seattle
This is not a residential workshop. You are responsible for your own travel and lodging. Please note the refund and cancellation policies for airlines and hotels. Travel insurance may be advised. There is a vast range of accommodations in Seattle in all price ranges. I’ve included a few less expensive options. Please make your own lodging reservations.
Meals
There are many excellent healthy food options that range from inexpensive to deluxe. You’ll find American, Chinese, Thai you name it. $7.00 and up.
Coffee and tea service will be provided on our morning and afternoon breaks.
A Seattle lodging, directions, and what-to-bring packet will be emailed to you upon receipt of your tuition payment and registration.
