Soul Retrieval Training

Soul Retrieval: Return to Power & Wholeness
part one of a two-part weekend series

Shaman’s Heartbeat: Welcoming Your Soul Home
part two of a two-part weekend series

Painting by Cathy McClelland

Soul Retrieval: Return to Power & Wholeness

part one of a two-part weekend series (Mt. Shasta, California)
Saturday, April 24, 10:00 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
Sunday, April 25, 9:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

Course Description: Soul Retrieval is an ancient shamanic healing practice. The shaman retrieves and returns lost parts of a person’s soul to the them for healing and empowerment.

Participants will be trained in how soul loss occurs, how to track and find the lost soul, retrieve it shamanically and return this lost essence to the individual. According to shamanic traditions, partial soul loss can occur during times of emotional or physical trauma. An accident or surgery, abuse or other violent circumstance such as war or a natural disaster, death of a loved one, or even a divorce may result in the separation of oneself from a piece of their soul. This loss can result in depression, illness, post-traumatic stress syndrome, addictions, dissociation or coma.

Soul loss can keep us from feeling our connections with others, prevent us from creating healthy relationships, and from living the life we really want to live. This weekend workshop focuses on the methods of soul retrieval – the techniques and practices regarding soul tracking and retrieval. Participants will be trained in how to work with the issues of soul loss from a shamanic perspective:

  • recognizing the need for soul retrieval
  • methods of the diagnostic journey
  • exploring causes of soul loss
  • healing soul loss

This workshop constitutes the prerequisite for the second part of the series; Shaman’s Heartbeat: Welcoming Your Soul Home, the practices of how we create healthier lives and make more beneficial choices for ourselves and others after the healing has occurred.

These two workshops must be taken together as this training is specifically designed for those who wish to deepen their shamanic work with others. These workshops are designed for those who may want to bring shamanic healing work into their practice with others. Although everyone will receive a soul retrieval during the training, it is not designed for people seeking personal healing.

Shaman’s Heartbeat: Welcoming Your Soul Home

part two of a two-part weekend series. (Mt. Shasta, California)
Saturday, May 29, 10:00 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
Sunday, May 30, 9:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

Course Description: After soul retrieval, life changes. For some, that change may be major and immediately evident. For others, as the new essence enters into one’s present life, the effect may be more subtle. Integration work helps complete the assimilation of the retrieved soul, ensuring the success of the soul retrieval itself.

The integration work involves vital shamanic journeys, rituals, and ceremonies. These practices help to restore wholeness and “set the cure” of the retrieval itself.

The return of a soul can bring joy and enthusiasm back into life, break unwholesome habits and patterns, reveal new choices and restore a feeling of well-being.

As you dance with your returned soul essence in this weekend workshop, you will have time to explore the inspiring, magical ways that integration manifests in your being.

You will also gain a solid foundation for working with clients in their soul retrieval process. Some of these themes include:

  • integration techniques for returned soul essences
  • preparing a client for soul retrieval
  • performing long-distance soul retrievals
  • using healing words (word doctoring)
  • moving forward and creating a positive, balanced future for life

The workshop also includes some ceremonial time outside on the mountain of Mount Shasta.

This workshop constitutes the second part of the series; Shaman’s Heartbeat: Welcoming Your Soul Home, the practices of how we create healthier lives and make more beneficial choices for ourselves and others after the healing has occurred.

Prerequisites: In addition to Soul Retrieval: Return to Power and Wholeness, the first of this two-part series, all participants must have taken the Way of the Shaman: The Shamanic Journey, Power and Healing or similar introduction to the shamanic journey. In order to register for this course, you must have good shamanic journey skills and success in contacting your power animals and spirit teachers in nonordinary reality.
