Description: Participants are initiated into the extraction method of healing, including how to see, sense, and remove localized illness and pain connected to spiritual factors. This is an important part of shamanic healing training. They will also learn how shamanic practitioners can work in partnership to increase the effectiveness of this work. The Extraction Healing Training workshop is designed exclusively for people who want to bring shamanic healing work into their practice with others. The training is not designed for people looking for personal healing.
Location: Sacramento has been called a snapshot of Wild West history in a modern, world-class city. Peacefully located in a leafy valley of scenic rivers and canopies of trees, today's Sacramento is a cosmopolitan convergence of tall, gleaming buildings, rambling Victorians, many great restaurants and shops, and a vibrant arts scene. Our group room for this workshop is located in the Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community. The Sierra 2 Center is located on three lushly landscaped acres in the beautiful Curtis Park neighborhood, within easy reach of midtown and downtown Sacramento. Sierra Green, a neighborhood park, is adjacent to the Center.
About the Instructor: Beth Beurkens, M.A. is a shamanic practitioner and has been a teacher of shamanism and a vision quest guide for 20 years. She has been a college instructor of religion and spirituality for 31 years and is a poet and writer. Beth leads dynamic life-changing seminars on the West Coast and in Europe and has a shamanic healing practice in Ashland, OR and Europe. Beth has studied extensively with Michael Harner, Alicia Luengas Gates, and Sandra Ingerman. She is an instructor at Rogue Community College, the College of the Siskiyous, and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Prerequisite: The Foundation For Shamanic Studies —Michael Harner’s Way of the Shaman: The Shamanic Journey, Power and Healing. This basic workshop can be taken with Beth Beurkens in 2012 at the following locations:
Las Vegas, NV on March 3 - 4, 2012
Sacramento, CA on April 14 - 15, 2012
Ashland, OR on May 5 - 6, 2012
Mt. Shasta, CA September 8 - 9, 2012
Registration
$225 per person for early registration - up to one month prior to start of workshop. Sign-ups after September 12 will be $250.
Preregistration is strongly recommended.
Tuition payments may be made by check, or online with PayPal using credit or debit cards. PayPal payments may only be made for the full amount. If you choose to use PayPal, be sure to also print, fill out, and mail the registration and liability forms via USPS to Beth.
Tuition Deposit: A $125. deposit is required in order to register for this workshop and will be applied toward your tuition balance. You may also send the full fee to register.
We recommend the deposit be paid early as enrollments are limited.
Balance Due: Please send balance due by September 17 as all tuition matters must be complete before arriving at the workshop

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations will be processed as follows: notification received prior to September 20, 2012: full refund minus $60.00 administration fee; notification received prior to Thursday, September 27: 50% refund minus $75.00 administration fee. No refunds on or after September 27. If you cancel 30 days or more before the workshop, you may apply the amount paid to another of my FSS workshops with no penalty except for any Pay Pal fees.
The Foundation for Shamanic Studies retains the right to cancel any workshop at any time for any reason. In this case all tuition fees will be refunded in full or may be applied to a future FSS workshop of mine.

This is not a residential workshop. You are responsible for your own travel and lodging. Please note the refund and cancellation policies for airlines and hotels. Travel insurance may be advised.
