Course Description:Participants are initiated into the extraction method of healing, including how to see, sense, and remove localized illness and pain connected to spiritual factors. This is an important part of shamanic healing training. They will also learn how shamanic practitioners can work in partnership to increase the effectiveness of this work. The Extraction Healing Training workshop is designed exclusively for people who want to bring shamanic healing work into their practice with others. The training is not designed for people looking for personal healing.

Location: Our group room for this workshop is in the gorgeous new Core Movement Center located in Nevada City, one of the most beautiful towns in California. Nevada City borders the Tahoe National Forest, is minutes from Sierra lakes and rivers and home to deep green pine covered hills. A full coffee and tea service will be provided on our morning and afternoon breaks.

About the Instructor: Beth Beurkens, M.A. is a shamanic practitioner and has been a teacher of shamanism for 18 years and a vision quest guide for 21 years. She has been a college instructor of religion and spirituality for 31 years and is a poet and writer. Beth leads dynamic life-changing seminars on the West Coast and in Europe and has a shamanic healing practice in Mt Shasta and Europe. She has studied extensively with Michael Harner and Sandra Ingerman. She is an instructor at the College of the Siskiyous, faculty at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and a poet- teacher with California Poets in the Schools.

Pre-requisite: The Foundation For Shamanic Studies —Michael Harner’s Way of the Shaman: The Shamanic Journey, Power and Healing. This basic workshop can be taken with Beth Beurkens in 2009/2010 at the following locations:

Registration: $235. per person for early registration—up to one month prior to start of workshop. Sign-ups after Tuesday, April 14, 2010 will be $255. You may pay by check or by credit card. Credit card payments may only be made for the full amount on either Visa or Master Card.

To register for this course, fill out the registration form and liability release below which needs to be sent via US mail. And either pay by check or Pay Online.

Deposit:

A $125. deposit is required in order to register for this workshop and will be applied toward your tuition balance. You may also send the full fee to register. We recommend the deposit be paid early as enrollments are limited.

Balance Due: Please send balance due by April 20th as all tuition matters must be complete before arriving at the workshop

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations will be processed as follows: notification received prior to April 22: full refund minus $50.00 administration fee; notification received prior to Thursday, April 29th: 50% refund minus $60.00 administration fee. No refunds on or after April 29th. If you cancel 30 days or more before the workshop, you may apply the amount paid to another of my FSS workshops with no penalty.
